The genesis of Upstream Ecology is established with the setup of the first native grassland nursery in the Nilgiris, by Vasanth Bosco
2011
Conducted 5 acres of restoration within Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, using grasses and plants from the nursery
2013
Collaborates with Total Environment Pvt. Ltd to establish an eco-resort project in Doddabetta, planting over 7000 plants and grasses
2014
Partnered with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department to remove invasive Pinut patula from 150 acres of high elevation grasslands
2017
Worked with Lawrence School in Lovedale to help restore 150 acres of degraded habitat, a process that took over & years
2019
Partnered with Clean Coonoor, a citizen group, to restore the Yedapalli marsh watershed, extremely vital for the town of Coonor
2023
Establishment of India's first dedicated wetland nursery in partnership with Propel Industries, Coimbatore, funded through CSR initiatives
2024
Establishment of a second grassland-shrubland nursery for deciduous and riparian species in the Sigur Plateau region near Ooty
