Upstream Ecology consults with conservation practitioners, conservation organizations, corporate entities and private landowners to help them understand ecological health in real time. Our team of ecologists and data scientists utilizes advanced remote sensing, biodiversity indexing, and rigorous field observations to ensure that every aspect of the ecosystem has tangible measurements.
Understanding the Wild Through Focused Monitoring and Evaluation
We've worked across three states in landscapes across every biome, studying how wild systems interact with each other and how pressures such as climate change can affect these systems.
Studying Behaviour, Populations and Progress
Developing frameworks for conducting population estimates of flora and fauna, occurrence estimates, species richness along with densities of flora (using ground-truthing and visual observations, as well as LiDAR analyses with data from trusted vendors). We also conduct species density of flora based on basal girth, stem count, seedling density and other metrics.
